White House To US Diplomats Against Travel Ban: ‘Get With The Program Or Go’

Sean Spicer, a White House Spokesman, attempted to strong-arm US diplomats into supporting Trump’s executive order to ban travelers and immigrants from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia from entering the US. Like Trump, he claims that the order is meant to protect Americans from terrorism. His claims that the majority of Americans support the ban are unsupported, however, and he fails to address the criticism that none of the targeted countries have produced terrorist attacks against the US.

It is now well-known that the seven countries affected by the ban are not origin points of terrorist attacks against the US, and that other countries which are, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt and the UAE have not been included on the list and are countries in which Trump has business holdings.
